Profile

Marinika Beaver, with 15 years of diversified HR experience, joined WeilandWorks Consulting as an HR Consultant. Currently she supports small to medium size companies to meet their Human Resources needs. Her areas of expertise include sourcing, interviewing, hiring, HR policies and procedures, HR processes, employee relations, contract negotiations and project management. Marinika has previous experience in the financial, educational, manufacturing and non-profit industries.

She is multilingual, multicultural and has a great understanding of people and working with diversity. Through college and her work experiences, Marinika has always been involved in international and national efforts to bring awareness and understanding of different cultures. Throughout the years she has also provided interpretation services to the courts, airlines, schools and others as needed.

Marinika’s sense of integrity is coupled with her passion for helping others. Encouraging others and making a positive difference in all she touches has become a personal principle.

Professional and Personal Development

  • Marinika earned her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations with a concentration in Business and Romance Languages from Kent State University. She has interned at the Supreme Court of the United States.
  • Marinika’s eight years with Key Bank has given her the professional development from recruiting to Manager, AVP in Human Resources. Managing through three mergers, she became acutely aware of managing group dynamics, assessing needs to meet the current environment and leading through change.
  • Following the financial industry, she managed a catering business part time for fifteen years. In addition, she worked in a union based manufacturing firm and worked as a substitute teacher for the Lakewood City Schools.
  • She is active in the Lakewood school district, supports and is a member of violence against bullying and women groups. Marinika is a strong advocate of helping others through her church and their church ministries. In addition, being a passionate mother of two boys, she is a member of a Parenting Group and continues to help families and children through adversities.
