Shirley Hunter, Consultant is a well-respected, people-driven HR Professional who has a passion for employees and education. Currently, she is an HR Consultant with WeilandWorks Consulting and Training Consultant with Corporate College, a Division of Cuyahoga Community College. Previously, she spent 5 years with ERC (Employers Resource Council) in the capacity as a Senior HR Research Associate and Member Services Manager assisting and advising Northeast Ohio organizations with their HR-related and membership questions. Shirley’s areas of expertise include HR policies and procedures, compliance, employee relations, performance management strategies, leadership development, program management, and team dynamics. Her 15 years of professional experience in the financial, non-profit, government, communications, and professional services sectors have provided her with a wide breadth of industry exposure, all of which allow her to deliver for each client’s distinctive needs.

Shirley continues to strive for excellence and serves as a role model within her community. She is an active board member of the Cleveland Society for Human Resource Management (CSHRM) and Cleveland Society for Human Resource Management Foundation (CSHRMF). She is also a current member of the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Shirley is also a decorated United States Army Veteran. Her awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement Medal (3rd Award) and Army Service Ribbon.

Shirley earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management & Labor Relations from Cleveland State University. She has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources from the HR Certification Institute (www.hrci.org) and Senior Certified Professional credential from SHRM (www.shrm.org). She has presented to local college students on the topics of communications, dealing with change, networking, professional etiquette, social media and work ethic.
